• Strengthening crime prevention and code enforcement by:
  Securing a new Community Prosecutor for Far East Dallas/White Rock Hills area and part time Code Compliance Officer along with the continuation of the South Dallas/Fair Park and Jubilee Park Community Prosecutors.
• Working with citizen action groups to:
  Provide an Urban Land Use Design Study in the Buckner Terrace area and utilizing inventive public private neighborhood friendly economic design development for the Buckner Blvd/John West Rd area.
• Developing and maintaining programs for:
  Seniors Citizens and summer job training for youths
  Non-profit single family owner owned housing
  Safe, clean, & secure community oriented multi-family housing
  Neighborhood preservation and protective zoning
  Enhancement of art funding to reflect Dallas’ diversity
  Environmental and educational programs for the Trinity River Forest

The new White Rock Hills Branch Library and Recreation Center will provide educational opportunities for all ages and be a catalyst for economic development benefiting the entire city.

With more than 7 million visitors annually, redevelopment of the Fair Park area is key to achieving the vision: ‘To make Fair Park a major destination in Dallas and the region.” We’re on track to leverage the tremendous traffic and activity generated by this true gem.

The Bexar Street Initiative redevelopment corridor is coming on line providing retail shops, urban townhomes, pedestrian improvements and plazas, DART linkages, and public infrastructure.
